Pitching Aramco Digital + Groq\u2019s inference data center partnership:<\/strong> California-based chip and AI player Groq is looking to \u201cpartner with Aramco Digital for quite a bit of our deployment in this region and anywhere we can,\u201d Groq CEO Jonathan Ross tells Bloomberg<\/a>. Groq and Aramco Digital \u2014 Aramco\u2019s tech arm \u2014 signed an agreement last week<\/a> to build the world\u2019s largest inference data center in the world. The data center is expected to cost \u201cin the order of nine figures,\u201d Ross says, with plans for the center to be up and running before the close of the year. <\/p>\n

Part of Saudi\u2019s diversification plans:<\/strong> The state-owned oil giant is \u201cplanning to do massive capital deployments for this, and it is a way to help diversify the economy away from oil,\u201d Ross added.
