Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman met with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei <\/strong>Lavrov<\/strong> yesterday<\/strong> to discuss bilateral relations as the latter made an official visit to the Kingdom, Reuters<\/a> reports, citing Russian state news agency RIA. Lavrov is in Riyadh for strategic dialogue meetings with GCC countries on the sidelines of the GCC Ministerial Council meeting. <\/p>\n

Lavrov<\/strong> invited the Crown Prince to the upcoming <\/strong>BRICS summit in Kazan this October<\/strong>, Russian news agency Interfax<\/a> reports. <\/p>\n

MEANWHILE-<\/strong> Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan participated in a separate strategic dialogue meeting with India, where officials from GCC countries and India discussed strengthening ties and coordinating efforts to boost international security, state news agency SPA reports<\/a>. <\/p>\n

The foreign minister<\/strong> also took part in <\/strong>a joint ministerial strategic dialogue between<\/strong> Russia and the GCC<\/strong>, where means to strengthen ties and the latest political developments were discussed, SPA reports<\/a>.
