The divestment comes as US private equity firm <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ta.com\/\" style=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">TA Associates<\/a> acquires a majority stake in AlephYa. Neither party put a value on the transaction. <\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><strong>The new shareholder structure: <\/strong>Existing investors Gulf Investment Corporation (GIC) and Oman International Development and Investment Company SAOG (Ominvest) will retain \u201csignificant\u201d stakes, the press release says. Prior to the transaction, <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.gic.com.kw\/education\/\" style=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">GIC held 35%<\/a> and <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/ominvest.com\/our-investments\/private-equity\/\" style=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">Ominvest 15%<\/a>, according to their websites. It\u2019s unclear whether either Ominvest or GIC sold down portions of their stake as part of the sale. <\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><strong>Use <\/strong><strong>of proceeds:<\/strong> The school operator is set to use the fresh funds to \u201cto enhance our [AlephYa] educational infrastructure, improve our facilities and increase our impact on new and existing students,\u201d said Nadeem Masud and Chandra Tiwari, co-founders of AlephYa.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><strong>What\u2019s AlephYa? <\/strong>Established in 2017, the company operates 13 schools across the Kingdom, the UAE, and Oman, offering American, British, and local curricula. AlephYa operates Al Majd National Schools in Riyadh, and Al Tarbiyah Al Islamiyah School.
