The signing happened on the sidelines of the PIF\u2019s private sector forum in Riyadh last week, according to <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/tasaruksa\/status\/1755589873166406111?s=20\" style=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">a post on social media platform X<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><strong>What we don\u2019t know:<\/strong> While P3 says it has raised a total of EUR 100 mn from private investors, it hasn\u2019t disclosed the size of the most recent round or of PIF\u2019s commitment. It has also taken on a nearly <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/p3m.com\/media\/the-european-commission-approved-a-grant-of-eur-1795-million-to-project-3-mobility\/\" style=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">EUR 180 mn grant<\/a> from the European Commission to \u201cresearch, develop and produce new mobility vehicles and supporting infrastructure.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><strong>Use of proceeds: <\/strong>The company will use fund series A funding to fund R&D and expand its team, it said.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><strong><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.tasaru.com\/\" style=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">T<\/a><\/strong><strong><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.tasaru.com\/\" style=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">asaru<\/a><\/strong><strong> has also inked <\/strong><strong><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.arabnews.com\/node\/2455686\/business-economy\" style=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">agreements<\/a><\/strong>that will see it invest in: <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>US tech company <\/strong><strong><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.recogni.com\/\" style=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">Recogni<\/a><\/strong>, which develops low-energy AI products. Tasaru will be financing Recogni\u2019s development of next-gen chips for autonomous vehicles.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Vehicle manufacturer <\/strong><strong><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.driveholon.com\/en\/\" style=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">Holon<\/a><\/strong>, a subsidiary of Austria\u2019s <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.benteler.com\/en\/\" style=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">Benteler Group<\/a>. It plans to acquire <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.driveholon.com\/en\/news\/holon-is-about-to-secure-investment\/\" style=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">a minority stake of up to 38%<\/a> in Holon to back the development of the autonomous electric <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.driveholon.com\/en\/the-mover\/\" style=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">Mover<\/a> shuttle. The nine-figure investment in Holon will be dispersed in multiple tranches with the first expected in April 2024.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><strong>Haven\u2019t heard of Tasaru? That\u2019s because it\u2019s new.<\/strong> The investment company launched in October 2023 and is 100% owned by PIF.
