Medlog i<\/strong>s planting a second flag in Jeddah: <\/strong>Medlog \u2014 the cargo subsidiary of Italy\u2019s Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC) \u2014 inked<\/a> an investment agreement with the Saudi industrial regulator Modon to build an integrated logistics zone inside Jeddah\u2019s Third Industrial City with an initial SAR 137 mn investment.<\/p>\n

The details: <\/strong>The project \u2014 covering 100k sqm \u2014 will include container yards and warehouses, as well as integrated logistics solutions, including storage, distribution, handling, and customs clearance bundled on site. Once completed, the project is expected to handle nearly 60k TEUs a year by 2038.<\/p>\n

Why it matters<\/p>\n

Medlog is building capacity in two places in Jeddah <\/strong>\u2014 inside the industrial city and at the port. The Third Industrial City<\/a> stands some 62km away from Jeddah Islamic Port, indicating that the firm is bridging its manufacturing floor and shipping lanes.<\/p>\n
