EDUCATION-<\/p>\n

The US-based <\/strong>University of New Haven<\/a><\/strong> announced it will open a Riyadh <\/strong>branch by Fall<\/strong> 2026 set to serve 13k students<\/strong>, after the Cabinet approved<\/a> the move during its Tuesday meeting in Riyadh, it said in a statement<\/a> yesterday. The new campus \u2014 the first foreign higher education entity in the Kingdom \u2014 will offer programs in different professions like Business and Digital Innovation, Engineering and Advanced Manufacturing, Arts and Applied Sciences.<\/p>\n

REMEMBER-<\/strong> The Education and Investment Ministries, along with the Royal Commission for Riyadh, inked an MoU with the university in April<\/a>, paving the way for setting up a branch campus in Riyadh.<\/p>\n

#1- <\/strong>Cultural Assets Group<\/a><\/strong>\u2019 subsidiary Haal acquired the fashion brand <\/strong>The Pop<\/a><\/strong>Up<\/a><\/strong> during the Cultural Investment Conference in Riyadh<\/strong>, aiming to strengthen its presence in the cultural retail and fashion sector, it said in a press release<\/a> last week. The acquisition \u2014 financed by the Cultural Fund \u2014 is part of the group\u2019s SAR 850 mn investment fund<\/a> aimed at boosting the cultural economy via the acquisition of specialized international companies.<\/p>\n

#2- <\/strong>Alkhabeer Capital<\/a><\/strong> inked a subscription agreement to acquire SAR 18 mn in<\/strong> shares of <\/strong>Sindbad.tech<\/a><\/strong>\u2019s owner Automated Economy Holding Company<\/strong>, it said in a press release<\/a> yesterday. Sindbad.tech is the first Saudi fintech firm with a Capital Market Authority experimental permit to test AI-powered robo-advisory services, and will allow Alkhabeer Capital to develop new investment products, funds, and personalized portfolio management solutions.<\/p>\n

The Communication and Information Technology Ministry launched a<\/strong> nationwide university-level esports hackathon dubbed the<\/strong> PUBG Mobile Wow<\/strong>, bringing together creative students to design new PUBG Mobile maps inspired by the Kingdom\u2019s heritage and culture, it said on X<\/a> on Tuesday.<\/p>\n
