<\/strong>SIC invests in Jadwa\u2019s first regional PE fund: <\/strong>SIDF Investment Company (SIC) invested an undisclosed amount in Jadwa Investment<\/a><\/strong>\u2019s GCC Diversified Private Equity Fund, according to a statement<\/a>. The blind-pool vehicle \u2014 Jadwa\u2019s first regional private equity fund \u2014 is targeting SAR 1.5 bn, with a ceiling of SAR 2 bn<\/a>. <\/p>\n

Where the money\u2019s going: <\/strong>The fund will deploy capital in Saudi Arabia and the wider GCC, with a focus on industrials alongside other sectors.<\/p>\n

SOUND SMART- <\/strong>In a blind-pool fund, investors commit capital without knowing the specific investments in advance, leaving the manager to identify and execute them.<\/p>\n

Jadwa, which manages SAR 110 bn across asset classes<\/strong>, built a private equity portfolio in the consumer and F&B space. The firm secured a commitment from SME Bank\u2019s Saudi Venture Capital arm in December 2024. <\/p>\n

ICYMI- <\/strong>Jadwa Investment<\/a><\/strong> recently ramped up investments,<\/strong> acquiring<\/a> a majority stake in beauty and personal care retailer Makhazen Alenaya and backing Gissah Perfumers, Blackspoon Group, and Tikkaway.<\/p>\n

The move fits with SIC\u2019s push to boost industrial financing and private sector <\/strong>involvement<\/strong>. The firm last year teamed up with London-based asset management firm to set up<\/a> a SAR 400 mn private industrial investment fund, the first of its kind in the Kingdom.<\/p>\n

About SIC:<\/strong> Established in November 2024<\/a> by Industry and Mineral Resources Minister Bandar bin Ibrahim Al Khorayef with SAR 2 bn in capital, SIC is tasked with promoting private investment in industry, mining, energy, and logistics.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
