<\/strong>Saudi-headquartered AI startup <\/strong>Intella has closed a USD 12.5 mn <\/strong>oversubscribed <\/strong>Series A <\/strong>round led by Prosus<\/strong>, with participation from 500 Global, Wa\u2019ed Ventures, Hala Ventures, Idrisi Ventures, and HearstLab, according to a company statement (pdf)<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Intella? <\/strong>Founded in 2021 by Nour Taher (LinkedIn<\/a>) and Omar Mansour (LinkedIn<\/a>), the startup bills itself as the region\u2019s \u201cfirst real-time intelligence provider.\u201d It provides a suite of AI-powered services, \u201coffering enterprise-grade transcription, analytics, and AI-powered customer engagement tools tailored to more than 25 dialects.\u201d<\/p>\n

Where is the money going?<\/strong> The new capital will support the rollout of Ziila, Intella\u2019s Arabic-first conversational AI agent, alongside its analytics platform intellaCX, creating an integrated product suite for customer engagement. It will also fund the expansion of commercial teams in Egypt and Saudi Arabia to meet rising demand from banks, telecom operators, and government agencies.
