HAPPENING TODAY-<\/p>\n

The <\/strong>Saudi Drone Exhibition<\/a><\/strong> kicks off today at the Riyadh Front Exhibition and<\/strong> Conference Center. <\/strong>The three-day event will bring together more than 150 exhibitors, 50 speakers, and 10k visitors from over 20 countries to highlight drone applications in logistics, agriculture, smart cities, surveillance, and emergency response. It will also feature discussions on regulatory updates, public-private partnerships, and mega projects shaping the sector.<\/p>\n

WEATHER- <\/strong>Thunderstorms and heavy rain are expected today in Asir, Al Baha, and Makkah, with lighter showers in Najran, Jazan, Madinah, Hail, and Eastern Province. Riyadh<\/strong> can expect a high of 42\u00b0C and a low of 31\u00b0C, while Jeddah<\/strong> will see temperatures peak at 38\u00b0C and drop to 30\u00b0C. Makkah<\/strong>'s forecast is a high of 41\u00b0C and a low of 30\u00b0C.<\/p>\n

PSAs- <\/p>\n

The Kingdom issued an <\/strong>updated list of food law violations (pdf)<\/a><\/strong> to enhance <\/strong>public health <\/strong>and improve compliance in the food sector<\/strong>, the Municipal and Rural Affairs Ministry said on X<\/a> on Saturday. The revised system \u2014 drafted in partnership with the Saudi Food and Drug Authority \u2014 applies graded enforcement, issuing warnings for minor breaches and penalties for serious ones. It also covers a wider range of activities, including hygiene standards, allergen labeling, record-keeping, and delivery practices.<\/p>\n

<\/a> #1- <\/strong>Bangladesh eyes Aramco LNG pact: <\/strong>Bangladesh\u2019s interim government is preparing to sign an MoU with Saudi Aramco covering liquified natural gas (LNG) supply, Petrobangla\u2019s Chairman Rezanur Rahman told S&P Global Commodities Insights<\/a> \u2019 Platts on Thursday. A draft has already been drawn up and is currently under review, Rahman said. <\/p>\n

Aramco has expressed interest in both short- and long-term LNG agreements.<\/strong> Aramco Trading has already delivered spot LNG cargos to Bangladesh via competitive bidding and is now looking at a short-term sales and purchase agreement, Rahman said. He added that the proposed pact would give Aramco a formal foothold in Bangladesh\u2019s LNG supply chain beyond ad hoc spot trades. Aramco was among many companies that received approval from Bangladesh to supply spot LNG in December 2024<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Despite high interest rates, issuances attract long-term investors like institutions, as they look for the company\u2019s value instead of its short-term market price, Ghoul added.<\/p>\n

#1- <\/strong>King Kh<\/strong>alid and King Abdulaziz top airports\u2019 performance in July<\/strong> \u2014 both leading large international airports serving over 15 mn passengers annually with an 82% compliance rate in July 2025, the General Authority of Civil Aviation (Gaca) said on X<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Among airports handling 5-15 mn passengers a year<\/strong>, Prince Mohammad bin Abdulaziz International Airport achieved a 91% compliance rate, while King Fahd International Airport posted an 82% rate. All international and domestic airports with fewer than 5 mn passengers met 100% of Gaca\u2019s standards, except Al Jouf International Airport, which scored 91%.<\/p>\n

#2- <\/strong>Umrah pe<\/strong>rformers and visitors to the Holy Mosques surpassed 52.8 mn during Safar <\/strong>(27 July-24 August)<\/strong>, state news agency SPA<\/a> reported on Saturday, citing data from the General Authority for the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques. Some 21.4 mn people visited the Grand Mosque and 20.6 mn visited the Prophet\u2019s Mosque during the period.<\/p>\n

#3- <\/strong>The Industry and Mineral Resources Ministry issued 68 new mining licenses in<\/strong> July<\/strong>, including 44 for exploration, 11 for building materials quarries, seven for reconnaissance, five for exploitation, and one for surplus mineral ore, the ministry said on X<\/a> yesterday. The total number of active mining licenses in the Kingdom stood slightly below 2.5k by the end of the month.<\/p>\n
