The government reiterated its support for other nations targeted by what it called \u201cheinous Iranian attacks.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding: 0;margin: 0;line-height: 1.15;text-align: left\"><strong>Saudi <\/strong><strong>Arabia intercepted and destroyed nine drones in the <\/strong><strong>Kingdom\u2019s<\/strong><strong> airspace<\/strong>, the Defense Ministry said in a <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/modgovksa\/status\/2029002834528616876\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">statement<\/a> earlier this morning.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding: 0;margin: 0;line-height: 1.15;text-align: left\"><strong>AND- Washington went ahead and shuttered its embassies in KSA and <\/strong><strong>Kuwait<\/strong>, ordering nonessential staff in nearby countries to evacuate, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2026\/03\/03\/world\/middleeast\/us-closes-embassies-in-saudi-arabia-and-kuwait.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">New York Times<\/a> reports. This should come as no surprise after Iranian drones <a href=\"https:\/\/enterpriseam.com\/ksa\/2026\/03\/03\/the-us-embassy-in-riyadh-was-hit-by-drones-2\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">targeted the embassy in Riyadh<\/a> earlier this week.<\/p>\n<p class=\"tag-border-left\">Watch this space<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding: 0;margin: 0;line-height: 1.15;text-align: left\"><strong><a id=\"wwtt1\"><\/a> MARKET WATCH \u2014 <\/strong><strong>The Kingdo<\/strong><strong>m\u2019s capital markets are keeping their [redacted] <\/strong><strong>together <\/strong><strong>even <\/strong><strong>as the conflict simmers. <\/strong>The TASI edged up 0.73% yesterday amid the pause on trading in effect in the UAE and Kuwait.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding: 0;margin: 0;line-height: 1.15;text-align: left\"><strong>Price action in bellwether stocks is signaling a shift toward energy as a regional hedge<\/strong>, Fahd Al Tarzi, CEO of CI Capital KSA, tells EnterpriseAM<strong>.<\/strong> Even with the security threats at Ras Tanura, Aramco is trading up 1.9%, a move Al Tarzi says is telling in the context of oil prices crossing USD 80 and European gas prices spiking.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding: 0;margin: 0;line-height: 1.15;text-align: left\"><strong>Local retail investors are moving with caution<\/strong> and moving to cash amid the current volatility. While this indicates a nine-month low in the improvement rate for non-oil business conditions, the figure remains well above the 50.0 neutral threshold, signaling a sustained and healthy expansion in business conditions.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding: 0;margin: 0;line-height: 1.15;text-align: left\"><strong>Wage pressures intensify: <\/strong>The survey recorded the sharpest increase in wage costs in its history (dating back to August 2009), driven by firms aggressively raising salaries to retain talent and keep pace with increased workloads. Consequently, business selling charges rose at their joint-fastest rate since May 2023, matching a previous peak seen in October 2025.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding: 0;margin: 0;line-height: 1.15;text-align: left\"><strong>Employment gathers pace: <\/strong>While overall output growth moderated, the rate of hiring quickened to a four-month high as businesses expanded capacity to tackle a buildup of outstanding orders. \u201cA key highlight of the February results was the sizable increase in employment, as firms expanded their workforce to manage higher workloads and new business inflows,\u201d Riyad Bank Chief Economist Naif Al-Ghaith noted.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding: 0;margin: 0;line-height: 1.15;text-align: left\"><strong>\u201cThis acceleration in hiring signals confidence in near-term demand<\/strong>, even as overall output growth moderated.
