The museum is expected to attract up to 5 mn visitors a year and provide a boost to a sector that employs around 10% of Egypt\u2019s workforce.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><strong>ENERGY- <\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><strong>Egypt to import more Israeli gas for USD 35 bn through <\/strong><strong>2040: <\/strong>Egypt will <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/enterprise.news\/egypt\/en\/news\/story\/29455ed1-4b44-41d9-bd8b-57578243ba85\/egypt-to-import-more-israeli-gas-for-usd-35-bn-through-2040\" style=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">import<\/a> an additional 130 bcm of Israeli natural gas under an amended agreement with the Leviathan field partners, in a transaction worth USD 35 bn that extends supply through 2040. The amended agreement builds on a 2019 contract between Egypt\u2019s Blue Ocean Energy and Leviathan partners Chevron and Ratio Energies.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><strong>No more electricity subsidies by FY 2028-2029?<\/strong> The Madbouly government <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/enterprise.news\/egypt\/en\/news\/story\/9f7ce406-ee94-4bce-9f9c-a5ca380ba2c1\/egypt-intends-full-phase-out-of-electricity-subsidies-by-the-summer-of-2029\" style=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">plans to<\/a><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/enterprise.news\/egypt\/en\/news\/story\/9f7ce406-ee94-4bce-9f9c-a5ca380ba2c1\/egypt-intends-full-phase-out-of-electricity-subsidies-by-the-summer-of-2029\" style=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">gradually bring electricity subsidies down<\/a> to zero by the fiscal year 2028-2029, with the aim of freeing up funds previously earmarked for petroleum and electricity subsidies and channel the money back into \u201ctargeted social programs\u201d. <\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><strong>The Finance Ministry is <\/strong><strong><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/enterprise.news\/egypt\/en\/news\/story\/80ce8b24-1547-44a2-a52e-30b3906148fb\/the-solar-energy-sector-could-soon-be-given-wide-ranging-tax-and-customs-exemptions\" style=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">studying<\/a><\/strong><strong> a new package of <\/strong><strong>incentives<\/strong><strong> to support the solar <\/strong><strong>energy sector<\/strong>, which includes exempting solar power plant components from customs duties and value-added tax, Hatem Tawfik, secretary general of the sustainable energy division at the Cairo Chamber of Commerce and managing director of Cairo Solar, told EnterpriseAM.
