We also know that the government is looking to maintain at least a blocking minority once a sale has been finalized. <\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><strong> #2- BdC could IPO this year: <\/strong>The government is planning to offer a 49% stake in state-owned lender Banque du Caire (BdC) in a long-awaited IPO <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/enterprise.news\/egypt\/en\/news\/story\/7a248ffa-5a1b-4ef5-bfac-5250146e9cc2\" style=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">on the EGX in 4Q 2023<\/a>. The state has been planning to sell a stake in BdC since 2016 but has delayed the IPO multiple times due to unfavorable market conditions. <\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><strong> #3- No due diligence on United Bank just yet: <\/strong> Investors interested in acquiring stakes in United Bank will begin due diligence <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/enterprise.news\/egypt\/en\/news\/story\/86ee2e61-64db-4b1f-8414-1666f7c541fd\" style=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">by the end of September<\/a>, contrary to a press report earlier this week that claimed three banks had already begun the process. De Leon uncovers this information after extensive research to bring forth more details about this story through conversations with Emma, her parents, and reviewing all the evidence and sources from
