The reading means activity is still shrinking, but is the highest level the PMI has hit since last October. <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><span style=\"font-weight:700\">#5-<\/span><span style=\"font-weight:700\">Our net foreign reserves also inched up to USD 34.56 bn in April<\/span><span> from<\/span><span style=\"text-decoration-skip-ink:none;-webkit-text-decoration-skip:none;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/enterprise.news\/egypt\/en\/news\/story\/017ba7cf-a464-4565-a7d1-6ee25275a18e\" style=\"\">USD 34.45 bn in March<\/a><\/span><span>, according to <\/span><span style=\"text-decoration-skip-ink:none;-webkit-text-decoration-skip:none;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/cbe.org.eg\/en\/news-publications\/news\/2023\/05\/03\/15\/06\/net-international-reserves-at-the-end-of-april-2023\" style=\"\">central bank data<\/a><\/span><span>. The forecast marks a downward revision of the newswire\u2019s January forecast \u2014 which predicted 4.8% growth this year \u2014 and falls in line with expectations from the government, the World Bank and S&P Global Ratings. <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><span style=\"font-weight:700;\">PRIVATIZATION WATCH-<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><span style=\"font-weight:700\">#1- Pachin finally has new owners: <\/span><span>Dubai-based National Paints Holding (NPH) <\/span><span style=\"text-decoration-skip-ink:none;-webkit-text-decoration-skip:none;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/enterprise.news\/egypt\/en\/news\/story\/ed56889d-d8c0-4a89-9303-43c67d4e8f53\" style=\"\">has acquired<\/a><\/span><span> over 80% of EGX-listed Paint and Chemical Industries (Pachin) for around EGP 770.5 mn in its mandatory tender offer that wrapped, following a heated bidding war between NPH and Eagle Chemicals that saw back-and-forth of bids and counter-bids saw Pachin\u2019s value more than double to EGP 955.2 mn. The film marks Ben Affleck\u2019s directorial debut \u2014 and a triumphant one at that. And while this makes him as close of an expert on the topic as possible, his inspirations are apparent almost to a fault. It\u2019s almost like the book was written as a movie script then adapted as a novel.
