Financial Regulatory Authority (<\/strong>FRA<\/strong>) Chairman Islam<\/strong> Azzam has joined the board<\/strong> of the General Authority for Investment and Freezones (GAFI) as an expert member<\/strong>, following a decree<\/a> from Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly. <\/p>\n

What does<\/strong> that mean? <\/strong>Azzam now has a seat on almost every government institution that engages with the private sector. Besides his role as head of the FRA, he sits on the cabinet\u2019s Economic Group and the Ministerial Committee for Entrepreneurship. <\/p>\n

Americana Restaurants<\/strong> appointed company veteran Hesham Talaat <\/strong>(<\/strong>LinkedIn<\/a><\/strong>) as chief operating officer for multi-brands<\/strong>, according to a statement (pdf)<\/a>. Talaat, who has been with the group for over three decades, will now oversee operations for Hardee\u2019s, Krispy Kreme, and Baskin Robbins franchises across the Middle East.
