The move follows Infinity and Valu testing the waters <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/enterpriseam.com\/egypt\/2025\/12\/21\/maersk-returns-to-the-red-sea-efg-hermes-advises-on-kuwait-ipo-and-ebrd-gives-alexbank-green-financing\/\" style=\"\">back in December<\/a> by offering short-term, six-month buy now, pay later plans for home EV chargers during the EVs Electricity expo.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><strong>ICYMI-<\/strong> <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/enterpriseam.com\/egypt\/2026\/04\/28\/efg-corp-solutions-and-infinity-ink-ev-charger-leasing-agreement\/\" style=\"\">Earlier this week<\/a>, Infinity partnered with EFG Corp-Solutions on the country\u2019s first-ever leasing agreement for charging solutions. While the XPRS agreement targets the individual homeowner, the leasing play helps real estate developers turn a heavy fixed cost into a manageable operating expense.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\">\n<p class=\"tag-border-left\">Mido <strong>secures<\/strong> mezzanine debt financing from Vantage Capital<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><strong>Coatings manufacturer <\/strong><strong><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/midocoatings.com\/\" style=\"\">International Group for Modern Coatings (Mido)<\/a><\/strong> <strong> is <\/strong><strong>tapping alternative financing <\/strong><strong>to<\/strong><strong> \u201cunlock its production capacity.\u201d <\/strong>It secured USD 45 mn in mezzanine debt financing from <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.vantagecapital.co.za\/\" style=\"\">Vantage Capital<\/a> that will be used to refinance existing debt and provide working capital to scale production, according to a <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.vantagecapital.co.za\/vantage-capital-invests-45-million-in-mido-a-leading-egypt-based-specialty-paints-and-coatings-manufacturer\/\" style=\"\">statement<\/a> from the Africa-focused debt fund manager. The transaction marks Vantage Capital\u2019s third investment in the country and is \u201camong the largest mezzanine debt transactions in the country\u2019s history.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><strong>Why this matters:<\/strong> Vantage\u2019s investment is a sign of a wider move by investors looking for companies in Egypt that earn hard-currency revenues. Mido exports to over 50 countries and acts as a contract manufacturer for global paint giants like Nippon Paint, which means that much of its revenues are decoupled from the EGP while still benefiting from the country\u2019s low-cost industrial base.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><strong>Advisors:<\/strong> Matouk Bassiouny and Werksmans acted as counsel to Vantage, while Adsero was counsel to Mido. Vantage\u2019s consortium of advisors also included PwC Middle East, Emerton, and SLR.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\">\n<p class=\"tag-border-left\">Another day, another SCZone agreement<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><strong>Alpha Smart inked an agreement to build a USD 100 mn integrated <\/strong><strong>industrial complex in the Suez Canal Economic Zone<\/strong>, according to a <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/SCZONE.EG\/posts\/pfbid0KWkLN1UqXBay9rnUjnLdreMa9ciGgWczYavGYbAX7gcmvyqUPeqJSzr7rtA1HgWol\" style=\"\">statement<\/a>.
