Local smart-transport startup <\/strong>Tripix<\/a><\/strong> has <\/strong>launched its <\/strong>transportation<\/strong> platform and plans to expand domestically through 2026<\/strong>, co-founder Dina Abdelkarim tells EnterpriseAM. The platform was built with private local funding of an undisclosed amount, and has \u201cenough [funding] to reach full proof-of-concept and strongly penetrate the corporate market,\u201d she says. <\/p>\n

The timing gives Tripix a bigger opening \u2014 but this wasn\u2019t built overnight.<\/strong> The launch lands as some smart transport platforms have recently exited or scaled back in Egypt, creating a larger market gap to fill, according to Abdelkarim. \u201cTripix is not a project born of the moment or of new market conditions,\u201d she says. \u201cWe have been working on Tripix for two years, with several market studies and feasibility studies behind it.\u201d<\/p>\n

The corporate segment is the startup\u2019s \u201crevenue backbone<\/strong>,\u201d giving the platform recurring and more predictable revenues, Abdelkarim says. But the company wagers corporate transport and individual ride-hailing should not be treated as separate businesses. \u201cThe traditional separation between B2B and B2C in transport is a market gap, not operational wisdom,\u201d she tells us. <\/p>\n

AI is also<\/strong> a large component of reducing corporate client\u2019s operating expenses. <\/strong>\u201cOne of the corporate clients in the pilot was experiencing \u2018empty trips\u2019 \u2014 vehicles taking long routes to pick up employees in widely separated areas without any real coordination. The system analyzed weekly booking patterns and suggested restructuring pick-up areas and trip timings leading to a decrease in daily mileage without losing employees served,\u201d Abdelkarim says.<\/p>\n

The company ran actual fleets for <\/strong>schools and corporates during its pre-launch phase to test the platform against real-world transport needs. <\/strong>The goal was to offer \u201ca real, integrated solution \u2014 not just a nice-looking app that hides and ignores a major logistical and informational gap,\u201d Abdelkarim tells us.<\/p>\n

What\u2019s next? <\/strong>The startup\u2019s next funding round is being prepared with the goal being \u201cnot survival, but acceleration,\u201d including geographic expansion, AI investment, and scaling the corporate sales team, Abdelkarim tells us.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
