El Gawsaky succeeds Hossam Heiba, who had led the authority since late 2022.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><strong>Who is El Gawsaky?<\/strong> El Gawsaky makes the move to GAFI from the Investment Ministry, where he most recently served as Assistant Minister for Planning, Trade, and Digital Transformation. Before joining the Investment Ministry, El Gawsaky served as Undersecretary at the CIT Ministry, where he acted as the primary liaison between the government and tech multinationals to drive FDI into the ICT sector.
