INFRASTRUCTURE-<\/p>\n

Telecom Egypt completed work on the <\/strong>45k km 2Africa subsea cable<\/a><\/strong>, according to a disclosure (pdf)<\/a> to the EGX. The subsea cable \u2014 built in partnership with China Mobile International, Meta, Orange, Vodafone Group, and West Indian Ocean Cable Company is the first of its kind connecting East and West Africa and the longest in the world.<\/p>\n

The cable makes land in 33 countries<\/strong> across Africa, the Middle East, South Asia, and Europe, including two landings in Ras Ghareb<\/a> and Port Said in Egypt. It is expected to add as much as USD 36.9 bn to Africa\u2019s GDP in its first two to three years of operation, \u201cboosting job creation, entrepreneurship, and innovation hubs across the continent\u201d.<\/p>\n

EXPANSION-<\/p>\n

#1- Egypt Ku<\/strong>wait Holding broke ground on a GBP 60 mn plastic waste <\/strong>recycling plant in the UK<\/strong> through one of its subsidiaries, the company said in a disclosure (pdf)<\/a> to the EGX. The facility is scheduled to go online in 4Q 2026.<\/p>\n

#2- <\/strong>Madinet M<\/strong>asr and Saudi\u2019s <\/strong>Waheej Real Estate<\/a><\/strong> launched a Saudi-based <\/strong>joint real estate company<\/strong>, Citydom<\/strong>, with each side holding a 50% stake, according to an EGX disclosure (pdf)<\/a>. The joint venture plans to acquire a land plot in Al Janadriyah in Riyadh to establish a new integrated residential project.<\/p>\n
