ENERGY-<\/p>\n

Eni-dominated JV PetroShorouk is planning to drill three new wells in <\/strong>the <\/strong>Zohr gas field in the current fiscal year<\/strong>, according to a statement<\/a> from the Oil Ministry. Preparations are currently underway for work on Zohr 9 in addition to two new development wells. The news was also picked up by Reuters<\/a>.<\/p>\n

DIPLOMACY-<\/p>\n

Egypt began training hundreds of Palestinians to form a new security force for a \u201cpost-war Gaza without Hamas<\/strong>,\u201d <\/strong>The Wall Street Journal<\/a> reports citing Arab officials. The new force will include up to 10k security personnel, the majority of whom will come from the Palestinian Authority,, with some joining from Egypt, Jordan, and Gulf states. The move is expected to face opposition from Israel, which refuses to see Palestinian Authority control, calling it no different from Hamas.<\/p>\n

EDUCATION-<\/p>\n

CIRA Edu<\/strong>cation and Al Ahly Capital\u2019s Saxony Egypt University partnered <\/strong>with GB Corp to prepare students for the automotive industry <\/strong>by providing them with hands-on experience, according to a joint statement<\/a>(pdf)<\/a>. The university students will be enrolled in the Automotive Mechatronics Technology Program, under the agreement, to access GB Corp\u2019s technical workshops and factories.<\/p>\n

What they said: <\/strong>\u201cThrough this collaboration, we are opening GB Academy training facilities and resources to nurture young talent.
