The American University in Cairo appointed Presidential Economic <\/strong>Advisor <\/strong>Hala El Said (<\/strong>Linkedin<\/a><\/strong>) as its new university counselor<\/strong>, the university said in a statement (pdf)<\/a>. El Said currently serves as economic advisor to President Abdel Fattah El Sisi and played a prominent role in the cabinet economic group as the planning minister from 2017 to 2024. Her career also includes stints as chair of the Sovereign Fund of Egypt, a board member of the Central Bank of Egypt, and dean of Cairo University\u2019s Faculty of Economics and Political Science.<\/p>\n

What they said:<\/strong> \u201cUniversities like AUC play an essential role in shaping leaders who can bridge cultures, drive sustainable development, and transform knowledge into meaningful impact,\u201d El Said said. \u201cI look forward to contributing to AUC\u2019s mission of empowering generations of change makers who will not only excel in their fields but also serve as catalysts for progress across Egypt, the region, and beyond.\u201d<\/p>\n

AND-<\/strong> Arabia Holding appointed Islam Khamis (<\/strong>LinkedIn<\/a><\/strong>) as CEO of <\/strong>its<\/strong> real estate arm Arabia Developments<\/strong>, the company said in a statement (pdf)<\/a>.
