Ste<\/strong>el manufacturers are rolling out major expansion plans<\/strong> to boost capacity, diversify products, and increase export volumes.<\/p>\n

#1- <\/strong>Ayad Group<\/strong> will invest USD 10 mn in 2025 to expand its offerings for the automotive <\/strong>sector<\/strong>, Chairman Wanis Ayad told Al Borsa<\/a>. The plan targets 50\u201360 new products for the automotive and related engineering sectors. The company will upgrade its complementary industries factory, adding about 60 specialized machines to boost production. Export-oriented output will include automatic wall-mounted awnings, while domestic production will focus on exhaust systems, radiators, and steering components.<\/p>\n

#2- <\/strong>El Gallad Steel<\/strong> will invest EGP 2-3 bn to expand its cold-rolled sheet metal factory<\/strong>, Chairman Ibrahim El Gallad told Masrawy<\/a>. The company will double its production from 8k tons to 16.5k tons per month within six months, bringing total annual capacity to 200k tons. El Gallad Steel currently exports 25\u201330% of its surplus production and plans to increase its export share to 40%. Expansion plans also include new galvanizing and colored sheet lines in 2026.<\/p>\n

#3- Misr National Steel (Ataqa) applied for a steel billet production license from the <\/strong>General Authority for Industrial Development<\/strong>, according to an EGX disclosure (pdf)<\/a>. <\/p>\n

REMEMBER- <\/strong>The government is pursuing a strategy to localize steel manufacturing, which includes issuing<\/a> new billet production licenses, reallocating surplus supply, and working with industry stakeholders to develop unified policies for the iron and steel sector.
