Nile Plastic Recycling is investing an additional USD 15 mn to expand its polyethylene<\/strong> terephthalate (PET) recycling facility in the Sokhna Industrial Zone<\/strong>, according to a statement<\/a>. Under a contract signed with industrial developer Main Development Company (MDC), the recycling firm plans to set up a 10k sqm annex focused on producing food-grade recycled PET.<\/p>\n

More capacity, more exports:<\/strong> The expansion will increase the company\u2019s recycling capacity by 20k tons a year, with 70% of output earmarked for export markets. It will create around 500 direct jobs. The facility will come online following the completion of the project\u2019s first phase.<\/p>\n

REMEMBER- <\/strong>Nile Plastic Recycling inked an agreement<\/a> with MDC back in November to establish a PET plastic recycling facility in the Sokhna Industrial Zone with an initial investment of USD 20 mn.
