Our friend Sandro Tooma (<\/strong>LinkedIn<\/a><\/strong>) is joining Orascom Development <\/strong>Egypt\u2019s (ODE) <\/strong>board of directors as<\/strong> non-executive chairman<\/strong>, according to a company statement (pdf)<\/a>. Sandro \u2014 who stepped down from Madinet Masr\u2019s board yesterday \u2014 succeeds Samy Saad Zaghloul, who spent six years at the head of the table. <\/p>\n

Sandro joins ODE\u2019s board after having previously been an executive director of the <\/strong>company<\/strong> between 2013-2016. <\/strong>His track record on boards include runs at Telecom Egypt, Vodafone Egypt, Taaleem, Madinet Masr, and Egyptian Resorts Company, to name just a few. Sandro is also widely known for his storied two-decade-long academic career, which saw him serve as a tenured Professor of Finance at AUC, where he was also the founding head of the university\u2019s Finance Unit. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
