China\u2019s <\/strong>Deli Glass Co<\/a><\/strong> broke<\/strong> ground<\/strong> on a new USD 70 mn factory for glassware goods in <\/strong>the China-Egypt TEDA trade zone<\/strong>, according to a statement<\/a> from the Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZone). The first phase of the factory is expected to kick off operations in 2H 2026.<\/p>\n

Export is the name of the game<\/strong>, with some 80% of the goods produced at the facility earmarked for export. The 120k sqm factory is expected to create 500 direct jobs. The project\u2019s target annual production capacity was not disclosed.<\/p>\n

DATA POINT- <\/strong>The SCZone signed investment agreements totalling USD 4.4 bn in the previous fiscal year across 121 projects, according to SCZone Chairman Walid Gamal El Din.
