Our friends at <\/strong>EFG Hermes KSA<\/a><\/strong> will launch securities lending and <\/strong>borrowing services in the Kingdom in 3Q 2025<\/strong>, as part of their product offerings expansion, it said in a statement (pdf)<\/a> yesterday.<\/p>\n

The services enable clients to generate passive income by lending out securities that are <\/strong>not actively traded<\/strong>, without the need to sell them. They also allow hedge funds, investors, and major financial institutions to implement arbitrage and hedging strategies when trading.<\/p>\n

What they said: <\/strong>\u201cAs the Kingdom's capital market continues to evolve, we aim to support liquidity, enhance market efficiency, and create new [prospects] for institutional investors,\u201d CEO Saud Altassan said.<\/p>\n
