The UK appoin<\/strong>ted Mark Bryson-Richardson (<\/strong>bio<\/a><\/strong>) as its next ambassador to Egypt<\/strong>, according to a statement<\/a>. In August, he will take over from Gareth Bayley, who has held the role since 2021. Bryson-Richardson is a career diplomat with more than 25 years of experience, having most recently served as the foreign secretary\u2019s representative for humanitarian affairs in the occupied Palestinian territories.
