Homegrown digital <\/strong>inv<\/strong>estment plat<\/strong>form Thndr has raised USD 15.7 mn in a fresh funding <\/strong>round<\/strong> led by global tech investor Prosus, CEO Ahmad Hammouda announced earlier this week (watch, runtime: 32:06<\/a>). The round also saw participation from Dubai\u2019s Beco Capital, Y Combinator, JIMCO, Endeavor, and Onsi Sawiris. <\/p>\n

A lot in the pipeline: <\/strong>While Hammouda didn\u2019t get into the details of how the fresh funds would be used, he mentioned that the startup is currently looking to secure its asset management license. The license would allow the company to build and manage its own financial products\u0632 <\/p>\n

Two new products are rolling out: <\/strong>Hammouda also unveiled Thndr Alpha, a product catered to first-time investors, and ThndrX, a product for more seasoned investors. <\/p>\n

THE WHITEGUARD RAISES SIX-FIGURE USD PRE-SEED ROUND- <\/p>\n

Homegrown cy<\/strong>bersecurity and AI startup <\/strong>The Whiteguard<\/a><\/strong> has raised a six-figure USD <\/strong>pre-seed round<\/strong> led by venture capital firm Den VC<\/a>, the company announced in a statement<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The Whiteguard?<\/strong> The cybersecurity firm offers services that cover web infrastructure, mobile apps, and network security, leveraging technology and AI to help organizations safeguard their digital infrastructure. The company positions itself as a partner for organizations looking to build resilient digital systems in a fast-changing threat landscape.<\/p>\n

Where the funds are going:<\/strong> The investment will be used to support the company's expansion into regional markets and to accelerate the development of its AI-powered cybersecurity products.
