Among the reopened locations are 15 B Laban branches in Cairo and five in Alexandria, all of which cleared food safety and health compliance requirements in a re-inspection after their initial closing. Several branches under other brands \u2014 such as Whammy, 3m Shaltat, Kunafa w Basbousa, and Karam El Sham \u2014 have also been cleared to reopen after meeting corrective standards. <\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><strong>Production also resumed at B Laban\u2019s factories<\/strong> in Kafr El Dawwar and Abis, and Karam El Sham\u2019s factory in Borg El Arab following inspections during their trial operations. Factories still under review have been given a one-month grace period to finish implementing full health, food safety, and environmental standards, Industry Minister Kamel El Wazir said in a <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/EgyptianCabinet\/posts\/pfbid019k7jZH2tAcSgxfNkkZSFovy16nTgvXq12VeKbZUoaKzJujCcWi1VpyvcZmquZFSl\" style=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">statement<\/a>. The move was intended to keep production going and retain the affected workers, according to El Wazir.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><strong>REMEMBER-<\/strong> B Laban\u2019s 110 stores and its affiliated brands <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/enterprise.news\/egypt\/en\/news\/story\/731ae563-57ba-4707-9fc5-c9152b58090c\/%253cmark%253eb-laban%253c%2Fmark%253e%25e2%2580%2599s-reopens-in-saudi-arabia,-and-could-follow-suit-in-egypt-if-it-mends-health-and-regulatory-lapses\" style=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">were shuttered<\/a> across the country earlier this month, following inspections by the NFSA uncovered food safety violations including the use of prohibited substances, expired products, and poor sanitation in several facilities. The Health Ministry also cited unlicensed outlets and staff without valid health certifications.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\">\n<hr style=\"height:2px;border-width:0;color:gray;background-color:gray\">\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><a id=\"wwtt2\"><\/a> <strong>#2-<\/strong><strong> Kuwait\u2019s Bu<\/strong><strong>khamseen Holding <\/strong><strong>plans to invest between EGP 30-40 bn in <\/strong><strong>Egypt over the coming two years<\/strong>, <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/share\/p\/18gAZjDHJr\/\" style=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">Asharq Business<\/a> reports. Bukhamseen has also already begun the development of some plots with the Sovereign Fund of Egypt and in cooperation with a group of companies \u2014 including the Saudi Binladin Group.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><strong>This isn\u2019t the first big ticket-investment plan we\u2019ve heard from <\/strong><strong>Bukhamseen<\/strong>, which was reportedly eyeing one of Egypt\u2019s largest tourism and hospitality investment companies in a USD 4.9 bn transaction, according to <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/enterprise.news\/egypt\/en\/news\/story\/0b078426-0c56-4ce6-939d-2383f89a913a\/sca%25e2%2580%2599s-rabie-pushes-shipping-companies-to-return-to-the-red-sea\" style=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">local media reports<\/a> in February.
