Saudi-owned agribusiness and Alkhorayef Group subsidiary Rakhaa for <\/strong>Agricultural Investment and Development is planning to list 30% of its shares on the EGX<\/strong> in a secondary offering in 2H 2025, Alkhorayef\u2019s Managing Director Abdullah Alkhorayef told Cairo Weekend\u2019s Zeina Soufan (watch, runtime: 16:00<\/a>). \u201cWe\u2019re fully ready for the IPO, both administratively and financially,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Rakhaa has been in Egypt for 20 years <\/strong>and controls 24k feddans of land in East Oweinat, of which 10k are currently cultivated with wheat, potatoes, and sugar beet and are producing at maximum capacity, Alkhorayef said. The company reports over EGP 500 mn in annual revenues, growing at 8\u201312% per year.<\/p>\n

While the IPO won\u2019t fund new farmland, proceeds will support a vertical integration <\/strong>strategy <\/strong>that includes a seed purification plant, onion drying facility, date processing factory, and cattle-fattening unit \u2014 echoing Egypt\u2019s broader push to localize food production and increase value-added exports.<\/p>\n

Rakhaa\u2019s shareholder<\/strong>s include major Saudi firms <\/strong>Tabuk Agricultural Development (21.61%), Al Jouf Agricultural Development (8.6%), Wafrah for Industry and Development (8.6%), and Jazan Development and Investment (21.61%), with additional undisclosed stakes held by Almarai and Alkhoraif himself.<\/p>\n
