#1- Telecom Egypt welcomes its first woman chair:<\/strong> Telecom Egypt has appointed Lobna Hilal (LinkedIn<\/a>) as the company\u2019s new chair, succeeding Magued Osman, the company said in a press release (pdf)<\/a>. Hilal has been an independent board member since 2019 and brings more than three decades of experience in the banking sector to the role. She served as Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Egypt for Monetary Stability Policies for two different terms \u2014 the first woman to hold the post. <\/p>\n

What they said:<\/strong> \u201cWith a career dedicated to financial stability, banking reform, and economic development, I look forward to leveraging my experience to further strengthen Telecom Egypt\u2019s position as a leading telecom provider,\u201d Hilal said. <\/p>\n

#2- <\/strong>The Exp<\/strong>ort Dev<\/strong>elopment Bank of Egypt (EBank) named Mohamed Taha as its chairman<\/strong>, according to a disclosure (pdf)<\/a> from the lender.
