? Every Ramadan must come with a guilty pleasure. <\/strong>This year, Mai Omar is the star of Ish Ish \u2014 also the name of her character \u2014 where she plays the role of a bellydancer who paves her way in a world of family drama, wealth, marriage, and greed.<\/p>\n

Ish Ish didn\u2019t get to choose her path. <\/strong>She was born into a family of bellydancers, with her mother, Ekhlas Kaboria (Entessar) having spent her life making a living from the same profession. Determined to protect her daughters from the burdens of poverty, Ekhlas raised Ish Ish and her sister Safaa (Shaimaa Seif) to follow in her footsteps \u2014 sometimes by force. But Ish Ish\u2019s world is turned upside down when, one day, during a dancing lesson, she meets her student\u2019s mother Shadia (Hala Sedky) and brother Mokhtar (Mohamed Sharnouby).<\/p>\n

Revenge. <\/strong>The whole series centers around Ish Ish\u2019s plan for vengeance as secrets are brought to light one by one, constantly keeping the audience on their toes, never knowing what to expect at the end of each episode, and impatiently waiting for more \u2014 evidenced by the series\u2019 rank as the number one most watched show in Egypt on the streaming platform.<\/p>\n
