Egyptian Natural Gas Holding Company (EGAS) has sent the conditions to global LNG suppliers in a bid to secure direct contract offers instead of issuing <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/enterprise.news\/egypt\/en\/news\/story\/21e78855-97f9-48c2-a08f-cf71e3b6b04c\/gov%25e2%2580%2599t-to-launch-fresh-lng-tender-for-summer-shipments\" style=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">public tenders<\/a>. Egypt aims to import 155 to 160 shipments of LNG in 2025, according to the outlet.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><strong>The conditions: <\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Price cap: <\/strong>Egypt will only consider LNG offers if the price does not exceed USD 14 per mn British thermal units (BTU);<\/li>\n<li><strong>Deferred payments:<\/strong> Suppliers must agree to a one-year grace period before receiving payments; <\/li>\n<li><strong>Overprice charges: <\/strong>Egypt will pay some USD 2 per mn BTU above the purchase spot for natural gas as an allowance for the deferred payments;<\/li>\n<li><strong>Restricting suppliers:<\/strong> No Russian LNG imports will be allowed due to EU sanctions. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><strong>Remember: <\/strong>Egypt has <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/enterprise.news\/egypt\/en\/news\/story\/b6cc14f3-a238-49d1-8930-c3686b0f9087\" style=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">reportedly signed<\/a> agreements with Shell and TotalEnergies to purchase a total of 60 LNG shipments in 2025 for around USD 3 bn, entailing a supply of five shipments per month.
