The latest Israeli proposal for post-war Gaza was met with Egyptian rejection: <\/strong>Israeli opposition leader Yair Lapid has proposed<\/a> that Egypt manages Gaza\u2019s security and civil administration under a UN-backed framework for up to 15 years in exchange for external debt relief. \u201cEgypt has categorically rejected Lapid\u2019s proposal <\/strong>for it to administer Gaza, disarm Hamas, and dismantle tunnels in exchange for having all its foreign debt written off,\u201d Ala Masouleety\u2019s Ahmed Moussa said (watch, runtime 6:24<\/a>). He stressed that Egypt won\u2019t accept anything other than the two-state solution for Gaza, adding that Gaza must remain under Palestinian control (watch, runtime 10:31<\/a>). <\/p>\n
