Dubai-based c<\/strong>lassifieds giant <\/strong>Dubizzle<\/a><\/strong>Group<\/a><\/strong> took over homegrown online car marketplace <\/strong>Hatla2ee<\/a><\/strong>, according to a statement (pdf)<\/a>. The move will see Dubizzle fold Hatla2ee\u2019s platform into its operations in Egypt \u2014 which already include Dubizzle and Bayut \u2014 thereby expanding its footprint in the country\u2019s fast-growing automotive market and digital classifieds scene.<\/p>\n

A win-win for both sides: <\/strong>The agreement is set to boost Dubizzle\u2019s reach in a market where online automotive sales are gaining traction, positioning it to compete with local and regional players. Hatla2ee CEO Samy Swellam said joining Dubizzle offers the company access to advanced technology and will allow it to create a better experience for its users. <\/p>\n
