This provocative thriller holds up a dark mirror to our society\u2019s deepening anxiety about aging. <\/p>\n

The story follows <\/strong>Elizabeth Sparkle (Demi Moore), a 50-year-old fitness icon whose aerobics empire begins to crumble when her producer Harvey (Dennis Quaid) suggests that she\u2019s past her prime. Desperate to maintain her relevance, Elizabeth turns to an enigmatic black market drug that promises youth restoration. The catch? It creates a weekly alteration between young and old versions of the user, with the two selves forever forbidden to meet. When Sue (Margaret Qualley) \u2014 Elizabeth\u2019s younger self \u2014 takes over the show, her decision to break the one-week rule sets off a cascade of haunting consequences.<\/p>\n

The movie reflects Hollywood\u2019s obsession with unrealistic standards of beauty <\/strong>\u2014 which push women into desiring a certain appearance and refusing to age. We also see men taking the same drug which highlights that the obsession does not only apply to one gender.
