Local fintech startup <\/strong>MoneyHash<\/a><\/strong> raised USD 5.2 mn in a pre-Series A funding round<\/strong>, according to a statement<\/a>. Fintech-focused VC Flourish Ventures<\/a> led the round, which also saw participation from Saudi Arabia\u2019s Vision Ventures<\/a>, Arab Bank\u2019s Xelerate<\/a>, Emurgo Kepple Ventures<\/a>, and existing investors UAE\u2019s COTU Ventures<\/a> and Saudi\u2019s RZM Investment<\/a>. <\/p>\n

MoneyHash? <\/strong>The US-based company\u2019s unified platform allows companies to offer payment and fintech services at checkout as well as collect data and track analytics through a single dashboard. It promises to increase revenues by up to 20% and decrease go-to-market and development costs by 90%. It was founded in 2021 and in 2022 it launched<\/a> its payments aggregator platform.<\/p>\n

Where will the money go?<\/strong> The startup will use the fresh funds to accelerate market penetration in the MEA region and for global expansion into other emerging markets where payment infrastructure remains underdeveloped, whilst keeping its enterprise go-to-market motions, CEO Nader Abdelrazik told EnterpriseAM. <\/p>\n

Setting the stage for future growth plans: <\/strong>Becoming a Flourish Ventures portfolio company \u201cis particularly crucial for \u201cMoneyHash\u2019s next phase of growth \u2026 establishing a solid foundation for global expansion,\u201d Abdelrazik said. Flourish Ventures\u2019 Ameya Upadhyay (LinkedIn<\/a>) will join MoneyHash\u2019s board of directors, bringing along his experience as an early-stage investor of understanding the \u201cmassive\u201d growth potential some startups have \u2014 \u201cThe team\u2019s deep payment experience and obsessive customer focus positions them to emerge as a leader across emerging markets, starting with MEA,\u201d he said. <\/p>\n
