? Three years after the season one finale, season two of Severance has finally <\/strong>debuted,<\/strong> leaving both veteran fans and newcomers scrambling to squeeze as much information out of the one available episode as possible. And there\u2019s a lot of it.<\/p>\n

Three years is a long time \u2014 here\u2019s what you need to remember:<\/strong> Lumon employees working on the severed floor undergo a procedure that \u201csevers\u201d their memories to create two consciousnesses. They are essentially two different people \u2014 the innies (their at-work consciousness), and the outies (their outside consciousness) \u2014 each with no memory of the other. What do they do at Lumon? No one knows for sure (even the innies), but there are plenty of fan theories. Need a more detailed refresher? Critics are already calling it a strong contender for best show of 2025, less than a month <\/strong>into the year. <\/strong>Strong performances by Scott and Britt Lower are being lauded by critics, but we want to see Tramell Tillman, who plays the equal parts menacing and friendly Milchik \u2014 and who we think is the most overlooked clue to what Lumon is up to \u2014 get his due praise.<\/p>\n

There\u2019s not much we can tell you without wading into spoiler territory, but here\u2019s what to <\/strong>expect in the coming episodes:<\/strong> Powerhouse character actor Alia Shawkat makes an appearance in episode one, and we\u2019ll be seeing similar talents join the cast, with Gwendoline Christie and John Noble on the docket, but it\u2019s not clear to which capacity just yet. We will likely be getting standalone outie episodes that give us a deeper understanding of higher-ranking Lumon staff like Milchik and Ms. Cobel (Patricia Arquette), who is yet to be seen this season.<\/p>\n
