One story dominated the airwaves last night:<\/strong> President Abdel Fattah El Sisi met with armed forces and police officials as well as journalists and media professionals yesterday, where he touched on a number of issues. <\/p>\n

During his meeting with the armed forces, police and various security agencies leaders<\/strong>, El Sisi discussed \u201cdevelopments on both the regional and international arenas and their ramifications on Egypt\u2019s national security \u2026 [and] efforts by the armed forces, civil police, and apparatuses in safeguarding Egypt\u2019s borders and internal front against various threats,\u201d according to an Ittihadiya statement<\/a>. <\/p>\n

El Sisi also affirmed that \u201cEgypt is closely monitoring the regional and international <\/strong>developments<\/strong>, grounded in the fundamentals of Egypt\u2019s foreign policy.\u201c<\/p>\n

The meeting caught the attention El Hekaya\u2019s Amr Adib <\/strong>(watch, runtime 28:53<\/a>) and Ala Masouleety\u2019s Ahmed Moussa (watch, runtime 3:59<\/a>) <\/p>\n

El Sisi held a separate meeting with media figures<\/strong>, where he discussed developments in Gaza, Syria, Lebanon, Libya, Sudan, Somalia, and Yemen, according to a separate Ittihadiya statement<\/a>.<\/p>\n
