President Abdel Fattah El Sisi has reappointed the Central Bank of Egypt\u2019s board for <\/strong>another one year headed by governor Hassan Abdalla<\/strong>, according to a decision published in the Official Gazette on Thursday. El Sisi reappointed Abdalla as the acting governor of the central bank for a third one-year term in August.<\/p>\n

Former Assistant Director of International Monetary Fund Khaled Sakr joined the central<\/strong> bank\u2019s board as an economic expert<\/strong>, replacing Hassan El Khatib, who left the board earlier this year to become the investment and foreign trade minister.<\/p>\n

The rest of the board remained unchanged<\/strong>, with deputy governors Tarek El Kholy<\/strong> and Rami <\/strong>Aboul Naga<\/strong>, FRA\u2019s Mohamed Farid<\/strong>, former Microsoft VP\u2019s Ali Faramay<\/strong>, former International Cooperation Minister Naglaa El Ahwani<\/strong>, AUC\u2019s Sherif Kamel<\/strong>, former Trade and Industry Minister Samiha Fawzy<\/strong>, banking veteran Essam Amer<\/strong>, and banking veteran Mohamed El Dib<\/strong> reappointed as board members.<\/p>\n

AND- HSBC Holdings named Selim Kervanci (<\/strong>LinkedIn<\/a><\/strong>) as CEO for the Middle East<\/strong>, according to a press release<\/a>. Reporting to Surendra Rosha (LinkedIn<\/a>) and David Liao (LinkedIn<\/a>), co-CEOs for Asia and the Middle East, Kervanci steps into the role with nearly three decades at HSBC, including more than 10 years on the MENAT ExCo, and having most recently served as CEO of HSBC Turkiye.<\/p>\n
