Schneider Electric Egypt is in negotiations with the Electricity Ministry to amend contracts to account for the EGP float, Al Mal<\/a> reported. The increase in production and import costs is threatening the feasibility of projects, said company VP Khaled Kamel. Schneider are looking to increase exports from 25% in 2016 to 40% this year by adding production lines to its existing facility in Badr City, and increase domestic component from 40% to 60% to meet growing demand and offset USD shortages, he said.
