A group of Egyptian divers have created an underwater sculpture park where new coral habitats can grow and flourish. <\/strong>The group behind the project, i-DiVE TRiBE<\/a>, \u201care a diving club that work to protect and preserve the marine environment,\u201d according to Coast Monkey<\/a>. They hope to \u201cgenerate whole new coral systems in an effort to preserve existing natural coral reefs in the Red sea\u201d and \u201cto divert divers away from existing reefs to these new locations.\u201d The sculptures picked resemble ancient Egyptian gods and are built from scrap metal and granite. \u201cThe project has been ongoing for a number of years and earlier this month the latest statue, resembling an Oscar statue and the ancient Egyptian God Petah was installed.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
