Members of the House Transport Committee accused Arafat of \u201cdeceiving\u201d them and \u201cmaking them seem worthless\u201d in the eyes of their constituents. One MP placed the blame on parliamentary speaker Ali Abdel Aal, saying he is responsible for \u201cbeing lax\u201d with the government, and threatened to resign if the situation remains unchanged.
