Meanwhile, right-wing news outlet Breitbart<\/a> belatedly takes note of Francis\u2019 video message and America Magazine<\/a>\u2019s Gerard O\u2019Connell says that Francis\u2019 \u201cpeace mission\u201d is significant in more ways than one, including its \u201chopes to bring consolation and encouragement to the country\u2019s tiny, hard-pressed Catholic community.\u201d Many are curious to see how Pope Francis will maneuver the \u201ctinderbox situation\u201d created by religious tensions and human rights issues, O\u2019Connell says.<\/p>\n

The persecution of Christians<\/strong> is also getting some digital ink in foreign outlets, with an American Catholic Priest in Egypt telling Vatican Radio<\/a> that \u201cresidents in several predominantly Christian villages \u2026 are anxious about their future\u201d following the Palm Sunday terror attacks. The Eurasia Review<\/a> says Egyptian security services\u2019 failure to protect Christians against the spate of violence indicates their tacit approval of the attacks, and few Western leaders have taken solid steps to protect Egypt\u2019s Christians against further violence.<\/p>\n
