<\/a> Last night\u2019s coverage of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi\u2019s visit to Washington took on more <\/strong>economic undertones<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Hona Al Asema\u2019s Lamees El Hadidi spoke to AmCham Egypt President Anis Aclimandos<\/strong> about El Sisi\u2019s DC meeting with representatives of dozens of major US corporations. Black & Veatch, GE, and IBM were among those that in attendance that Aclimandos describes as \u201cconstructive,\u201d as the questions were more focused on where and how to invest, not the obstacles to doing so (watch<\/a>, runtime 5:48).<\/p>\n

Egypt-US Business Council Chairman Omar Mohanna also came out of the meeting <\/strong>feeling optimistic. <\/strong>He told Lamees that the companies at the meeting asked questions mainly about Egypt\u2019s plan for infrastructure development and financial inclusion (watch<\/a>, runtime 9:07).<\/p>\n

Lamees also sat down with <\/strong>former CIA Chief James Woolsey, who said he was happy to see Egypt-US relations return to normal (watch<\/a>, runtime 11:17).<\/p>\n

Masaa\u2019 DMC\u2019s Osama Kamal talked to US-Egypt Business Council Executive Director Steve Lyons, <\/strong>who gave Egypt his vote of confidence and said he will lead a delegation of CEOs to Egypt (watch<\/a>, runtime 8:13).<\/p>\n

Investment Minister Sahar Nasr told Kol Youm\u2019s Amr Adib that the <\/strong>Investment Act could soon see the light <\/strong>and that she personally spoke to House Economic Committee Chair Amr Ghallab to urge him to bring the bill to a plenary session as fast as possible (watch<\/a>, runtime: 7:00).<\/p>\n
