Egypt to start doing more business with Australia soon?<\/strong> Australian businesses and investors are circling Egyptian opportunities and there could be a number of agreements announced in the coming months, senior Australian Trade and Investment Commission (Austrade) official Mark Morley tells Daily News Egypt<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Who\u2019s interested in what? <\/strong>Australian businesses including resource and energy engineering player Worleyparsons<\/a> are coming back to Egypt, Morley is quoted as saying. Of interest to Aussie businesses are opportunities in mining, health, education, agriculture, and food production.<\/strong> Mining, in particular, is attractive to Australian companies, many of whom planned on participating in Egypt\u2019s first international gold exploration tender in 2017, Morley says.<\/p>\n

Upcoming projects: <\/strong>In addition to mining phosphate and taking part in the Black Sand <\/strong>extraction project<\/strong> in Borolos (which will serve a variety of industries across the board), Australian businesses are also planning on building fertilizer and cement factories<\/strong>, and establishing touristic resorts in Upper Egypt and the Red Sea coast<\/strong>. Australian companies are also interested in agricultural projects in Qena<\/strong>, Morley adds.<\/p>\n
