Contracted cotton exports in the first six months of this season reached 33,000 tonnes, exceeding last season\u2019s total exports of 32,000 tonnes, Alexandria Cotton Exporters Association head Nabil El Santarisi said, Al Borsa<\/a> reports. Exports are up 22% compared to the first six months of last year\u2019s season thanks in part to government contracts for higher-quality shipments compared to last year, El Santarisi explained.
