The meeting comes after IMF boss Christine Lagarde <a href=\"https:\/\/enterprise.press\/stories\/2017\/04\/23\/imf-wants-egypt-to-raise-interest-rates-to-curb-inflation\/\">personally singled-out inflation<\/a> as an issue of concern for Egyptian policymakers. The IMF\u2019s director of the IMF\u2019s Middle East and Central Asia department, Jihad Azour, subsequently declared that interest rates are <strong>\u201cthe right instrument\u201d to manage inflation in Egypt<\/strong>.
