It\u2019s the first such verdict from the court, Al Shorouk reports<\/a>. Until yesterday\u2019s verdict, children could only claim citizenship via maternal inheritance if their mother was an Egyptian citizen (born or naturalized) at the time of the child\u2019s birth.
