The new prices for household consumers per month are <a href=\"http:\/\/www.almalnews.com\/Story\/339187\/59\/%D8%AA%D8%B9%D8%B1%D9%81-%D8%B9%D9%84%D9%8A-%D8%A7%D9%84%D8%A3%D8%B3%D8%B9%D8%A7%D8%B1-%D8%A7%D9%84%D8%AC%D8%AF%D9%8A%D8%AF%D8%A9-%D9%84%D9%84%D9%83%D9%87%D8%B1%D8%A8%D8%A7%D8%A1-\">broken down as follows<\/a>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The<strong> 0-50 KW<\/strong> consumption bracket will pay <strong>EGP 0.13 per KW<\/strong>, up from EGP 0.11; <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>The <strong>51-100<\/strong> <strong>KW <\/strong>consumption bracket will pay <strong>EGP 0.22 per KW<\/strong>, up from EGP 0.19;<\/li>\n<li>The <strong>100-200<\/strong> <strong>KW <\/strong>consumption bracket will pay <strong>EGP 0.22 per KW<\/strong>, up from EGP 0.19;<\/li>\n<li>The <strong>200-350<\/strong> <strong>KW <\/strong>consumption bracket will pay <strong>EGP 0.55 per KW<\/strong>, up from EGP 0.45;<\/li>\n<li>The <strong>350-650 KW<\/strong> consumption bracket will pay <strong>EGP 0.75 per KW<\/strong>, up from EGP 0.55; <\/li>\n<li>The <strong>650-1,000 KW<\/strong> consumption bracket will pay<strong> EGP 1.25 per KW<\/strong>, up from EGP 0.95;<\/li>\n<li>The <strong>1,000+ KW<\/strong> consumption bracket will pay <strong>EGP 1.35 per KW<\/strong>, up from EGP 0.95.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>The prices of electricity for industrial and <\/strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.almalnews.com\/Story\/339228\/59\/%D8%AA%D8%B9%D8%B1%D9%81-%D8%B9%D9%84%D9%89-%D8%A3%D8%B3%D8%B9%D8%A7%D8%B1-%D8%A7%D9%84%D9%83%D9%87%D8%B1%D8%A8%D8%A7%D8%A1-%D8%A7%D9%84%D8%AC%D8%AF%D9%8A%D8%AF%D8%A9-%D9%84%D9%84%D8%A7%D8%B3%D8%AA%D8%AE%D8%AF%D8%A7%D9%85-%D8%A7%D9%84%D8%AA%D8%AC%D8%A7%D8%B1%D9%8A\"><strong>commercial use<\/strong><\/a><strong> were also increased across the different brackets, <\/strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.almalnews.com\/Story\/339214\/59\/%D8%AA%D8%B9%D8%B1%D9%81-%D8%B9%D9%84%D9%89-%D8%A3%D8%B3%D8%B9%D8%A7%D8%B1-%D8%A7%D9%84%D9%83%D9%87%D8%B1%D8%A8%D8%A7%D8%A1-%D9%84%D9%84%D8%A3%D8%BA%D8%B1%D8%A7%D8%B6-%D8%A7%D9%84%D8%B5%D9%86%D8%A7%D8%B9%D9%8A%D8%A9-%D9%88%D8%A7%D9%84%D8%AD%D9%83%D9%88%D9%85%D9%8A%D8%A9\">Al Mal reports<\/a>. Heavy industries will be paying a high of EGP 0.654 per KW during peak hours and EGP 0.982 per KW in the off-peak. The monthly tariff for commercial usage changed acrossfive brackets as follows:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The<strong> 0-100 KW<\/strong> consumption bracket will pay <strong>EGP 0.45 per KW<\/strong>, up from EGP 0.35;<\/li>\n<li>The<strong> 100-250 KW<\/strong> consumption bracket will pay <strong>EGP 0.84 per KW<\/strong>, up from EGP 0.69;<\/li>\n<li>The<strong> 250-600 KW<\/strong> consumption bracket will pay <strong>EGP 0.96 per KW<\/strong>, up from EGP 0.69;<\/li>\n<li>The<strong> 600-1,000 KW<\/strong> consumption bracket will pay <strong>EGP 1.35 per KW<\/strong>, up from EGP 0.96;<\/li>\n<li>The<strong> 1,000+ KW<\/strong> consumption bracket will pay <strong>EGP 1.40 per KW<\/strong>, up from EGP 0.96.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>The state will<\/strong> <strong>continue to subsidize power for another five years until 2022 rather than eliminate them by 2019<\/strong> as had been originally planned \u201cowing to the conditions related to the big increase in the exchange rate,\u201d the minister also confirmed. This latest increase is expected to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.almalnews.com\/Story\/339178\/59\/%D8%B7%D8%A8%D9%82%D8%A7-%D9%84%D8%A7%D9%86%D9%81%D8%B1%D8%A7%D8%AF-%D8%A7%D9%84%D9%85%D8%A7%D9%84-%D8%A7%D9%84%D9%83%D9%87%D8%B1%D8%A8%D8%A7%D8%A1-%D8%AA%D9%85%D8%AF%D8%AF-%D8%A7%D9%84%D8%AC%D8%AF%D9%88%D9%84-%D8%A7%D9%84%D8%B2%D9%85%D9%86%D9%8A-%D9%84%D8%A5%D9%84%D8%BA%D8%A7%D8%A1-%D8%A7%D9%84%D8%AF%D8%B9%D9%85\">save the state<\/a> around EGP 30 bn in energy subsidies, bringing the bill down to EGP 52.8 bn in the FY2017-18.
