The Sherif Ismail cabinet had approved the amendments, which are currently before the House, and sent them to the Council of State for review in <a href=\"https:\/\/enterprise.press\/stories\/2017\/05\/31\/house-council-of-state-and-policymakers-are-in-a-sprint-to-the-summer-recess-finish-line\/\">late May<\/a>. <a href=\"https:\/\/enterprise.press\/stories\/2017\/05\/31\/house-council-of-state-and-policymakers-are-in-a-sprint-to-the-summer-recess-finish-line\/\">Among other things<\/a> the amended bill is expected to modify the regulations governing private placement, cover the issuance of sukuks, and give the EGX flexibility to set lower listing fees to attract smaller companies.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The EFSA is also waiting on the cabinet to approve the <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/enterprise.press\/stories\/2017\/04\/03\/efsa-sends-leasing-and-factoring-act-to-ismail-government-for-review\/\"><strong>Leasing and Factoring Act<\/strong><\/a>so it can be sent to the House to be reviewed and issued, Samy added.
